Marauders Map Box
This is a one of kind wooden keepsake box. It is themed after the third Harry Potter film "The Prisoner of Azkaban"
The box features some of the elements from the film and has been a real labour of love for me.
The box is covered with the infamous Marauders Map that Harry is given in the third film. The map features individually placed footsteps that are raised up to give a 3D textured effect.
Also on the box are two hand sculpted from clay "Pawprints" - a sign that Sirius Black's has been here !
There are also tell-tale signs of Lupin's existence as the box features very evident claw marks from his "Werewolf" change !!
The front of the box features a gold Hogwarts Crest wax seal moulded from clay.
My whole idea for this box was to imagine it came from the Shrieking Shack. I purposely aged the box using various techniques and tried to 'stretch' the wood as much as possible. By doing this the box may appear to not 'fit' so to speak. This is intentional. The lid closes and is fixed in place by some beautiful gold coloured hinges but as you can see from the pictures the lid may seem to be a bit larger......or smaller.......depending on your view......but this was my concept.....I wanted it to have a 'damaged' and 'stressed' look. I hope you will agree I have done the job.
Available from my etsy shop HERE

Some More Harry Potter......Well....You Can't Have Too Much.....Can You ?
My obsession with creating Harry Potter keepsake boxes shows no sign of wearing off.....so I present you
my latest piece...
It is stained and varnished to give it a wonderful aged antique look and feel.
The top of the box has many items associated with Harry, all of which were made by myself.

"Adventure Is Out There"
This is a one of a kind wooden keepsake box I recently made.
It is themed after the wonderful Disney/Pixar film "Up" which tells the story of recently widowed Carl and his adventure with young Russell....and Dug the dog ?
It is without a doubt one of my favourite films of all time and it was a labour of love to make this.
The box itself features a table cloth sculpted from high quality polymer clay, and painted to resemble the type of tablecloth Carl would have in his new home.
On the table cloth are many keepsakes that Carl has collected and saved from his journey to Paradise falls including.....
A beloved framed picture of his wife, 'Ellie' - the frame is sculpted from polymer clay.
A treasured 'Bird' ornament that used to sit on his mantelpiece - sculpted from polymer clay.
A copy of his and Ellie's "My Adventure Book" and a copy of Russell's "Wilderness Explorer Handbook"
Carl's Grape Soda Badge
Some 'Snipe" chocolate !
The outside of the box is adorned with polymer clay balloons and photo's from Carl and Russell's new adventures...along with some very funny pictures of Dug.
The inside of the box also features some pictures of the new best friends......and some more of Dug.
The box has a very high quality finish, and has a magnetic clasp closing mechanism.
It is for sale via my etsy shop HERE

You're Mocking Me Aren't You ?
Fresh on the heels of my Toy Story Keepsake Box themed after Andy's room comes another one from the same movies.....this time it's Buzz Lightyear himself that gets the glory.
I had a lot of fun with this one. It wasn't easy and quite a few things went wrong (they always do) but the end result is one I am very pleased with.
I wanted this one to be quite obviously Buzz. A box that you could tell straight away was Buzz Lightyear without even seeing the top. It features all his iconic colours, his control panel buttons and logos.....the whole kit and caboodle !
I am planning on producing a Woody box to keep the Buzz one company but it may have to wait as I have some other projects I want to do first.
If you are intersted in purchasing this one of a kind Buzz Lightyear Keepsake box, then please visit my ETSY shop:

Where it can be yours for the rather bargain price of $39.99
